After my mother passed away, about eight years ago, I used some of the money she left me to buy a camera. It took a couple years to really understand photography.

Photography is something that I really love. I love to study the masters. I feel uniquely, connected to Vivian Mair. Her story and her work intrigue me.

Photography gives me a way to fill many voids. It fills my time and allows me to interact with the interesting people I meet along the Way. When one carries a camera people are compelled to engage them in conversations. That is the best part of photography. I’ve met many people I would not have met otherwise.

I’ve studied photography at Midwest Photography Seminars near Detroit, Michigan. The owner of the school studied under Ansel Adams. I plan to study at the local tech school to add the components to my education that are missing.
